Legendary Singer Ozzy Osbourne Dead at 76

Ozzy Osbourne, legendary singer and frontman of the band Black Sabbath, has recently passed away at the age of 76. He is largely considered as the godfather of metal and will be remembered for his outrageous rock and roll antics both on stage and on the screen.

Osbourne was one of the founding members of the band Black Sabbath back in 1968, providing lead vocals on critically acclaimed releases Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. He was also known for his expansive use of drugs and alcohol. Recounting his time in the 70’s, “[I was on] booze, coke, heroin, acid and Quaaludes to glue, cough syrup, Rohypnol, klonopin, Vicodin … On more than a few occasions, I was on all of those at the same time”.

The news comes after Ozzy’s final “farewell concert”, Back to the Beginning, three weeks ago in which acts such as Metallica, YungBlud, and Guns N’ Roses paid tribute to the singer.

Ozzy is survived by his wife Sharon Osbourne and children Kelly, Jack, Aimee, Jessica, Louis, and stepson Elliott.
